APPLICATION ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

To continue our growth, Anguil is looking to add another successful, technically-minded person to fill a full-time Application Engineer position. This person is responsible for providing technical support during the sales process, the writing and coordination of proposals, and helping to match the best technology solution to address our customer’s regulatory requirements. The applicant should have strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work well within a team concept. The position will primarily support domestic operations with travel to customer job sites several times per year.

DESCRIPTION

The selected candidate will be expected to perform a variety of engineering and design functions to support the new equipment Sales team that often includes working on several active projects simultaneously to meet our customer’s demands including:

  • Review new project leads with Sales Team to devise an action plan
  • Confers with Anguil Sales and Engineering Departments and/or Anguil Representatives to obtain and analyze engineering requirements relative to new projects
  • Performs technology evaluations for Sales Team to help identify proposal requirements
  • Understand engineering drawings (General Arrangement and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) and descriptions (Operations Sequences) of the basic function of the equipment

DOCUMENT CONTROL MANAGER

Anguil seeks a dynamic and organized individual to fill our Engineering department’s Document Control Manager role. This position is primarily responsible for tracking engineering deliverables, proactively advising teams of potential delays or internal bottlenecks, and assisting with expediting documentation. The opportunity to improve processes and implement tracking and/or notification systems while managing a team are growth opportunities within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the current document control staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Are you a mechanically inclined self-starter who loves to problem solve? Do you like travel and working independently? Anguil Environmental Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer responsible for commissioning and servicing air pollution control equipment, including thermal and catalytic oxidizers, scrubbers, heat exchangers and other ancillary equipment. This position includes following up on on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks, as well as diagnosing technical problems and determining proper solutions.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of gas fired burners, PLC based controls, HMI’s and mechanical/electrical instrumentation, but Anguil is willing to train the right person. A background in electrical engineering, quality assurance and safety are a plus.

MANUFACTURING PROJECT MANAGER

This Manufacturing Project Manager works closely with our contract fabrication suppliers and other sub-contractors, our Operations team, and our Engineering and Design groups to execute the manufacturing, assembly, and shipment of equipment.   • Liaison between our shops and our Engineering and Design Groups for best manufacturing practices.
  • First responder to fabrication subcontractor’s questions on print, fabrication methods, and manufacturability; drive resolution through a documented deviation process.
  • Source the fabrication of new equipment builds and aftermarket orders through capacity and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate the execution of equipment build schedules with fabrication shops and all sub-suppliers.
  • Identify and execute documentable and sustainable cost savings with our fabrication suppliers. These can be based on process, materials, design, and/or supplier improvements, and economic order quantities of standard manufactured parts.
  • Investigate and vet new fabrication shops and other sub-suppliers as needed.
  • Coordinate and source the logistics of shipping equipment to customer sites.

PROJECT ENGINEER

We are seeking a degreed Engineer to fill a Project Engineer position. This position is primarily responsible for component selection, problem-solving, and delivering engineering solutions for various types of air pollution control equipment. The project engineer must demonstrate the ability to assist the project manager as an individual and/or a team player by performing various duties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide technical and engineering resources to assist project managers.
  • Review proposals and customer specifications.
  • Create Process Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) drawings.
  • Generate engineering documents to support overall project needs.
  • Calculate oxidizer energy and total pressure requirements to ensure the adequate capacity of systems.
  • Submit component specifications to vendors or fabricators for quotation.
  • Evaluate quotations and work with supplier sourcing to negotiate with vendors and fabricators to provide products that meet all the specifications within the project budget.
  • Specify the bill of materials (BOM), enter it into ERP database, and submit it for approval.
  • Apply SolidWorks and AutoCAD tools, reducing time and maximizing design accuracy.
  • Review technical drawings against BOM and identify inconsistencies among designs prior to submission to the fabricator.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure it meets technical specifications and monitor project deadline.
